After launching our main DAG website (1) and software solution websites (18), I collected metrics on user engagement and shared it with the team. After the soft launch of the main DAG website, we ended up with more website members than we had on the previous platform.
We learned that most users just visited the website and did not engage with the material, which includes downloading collateral. Some users did engage with the material we supplied by leaving comments. Only a few users created new content, and those were all members of our team—this included discussion questions that we seeded the website with to help encourage engagement, and it worked!
Users outside of our team engaged with the discussion questions that we created. In fact, 1/3 of the top 15 viewed pieces of collateral on our website were discussion questions. People (especially Sales) liked engaging with discussion material, and we used this insight to our advantage and seeded more discussion questions to encourage engagement.
